Call for Associate Editors and Papers for Journal

ALARA

Hello ALARA member

Call for Associate Editors and Papers for Journal

Associate Editors

ALAR Association is currently seeking up to five new volunteer Associate Editors (AEs) for the Action Learning and Action Research Journal. These AEs will seek new submissions for publication and manage the review process for submissions. The ALARA Editorial Board believes these roles would be excellent positions for newer academics with a strong interest in Action Learning / Action Research, and they encourage you to distribute this call to appropriate members of your networks. Please see here for more information. Submissions are encouraged before 22 January 2024.

Call for Paper Submissions: COVID-19 Aftermath – The Implications for Action Learning and Action Research Practice

COVID-19 has had an enormous impact on individuals, organisations, governments and all countries around the globe. As everyone adapts to a new “normal” post-COVID, Action Learning, Action Research Association asks: “What are the implications for Action Learning and Action Research academics and practitioners?”

Social distancing, working from home and reluctance to travel have made face-to-face collaboration and participatory activity very difficult. Practitioners have experimented with virtual Action Learning sets, but are they an adequate substitute? Action Research projects have been severely disrupted, but have they been able to proceed, and what changes have occurred?

Academics and practitioners are invited to provide papers for publication in an issue of the Action Learning and Action Research Journal. These papers could be descriptions of projects in the new circumstances, personal reflections, or comparisons of projects commenced pre-COVID and completed post-COVID.

Authors can make submissions to Action Learning and Action Research Journal – information is available here. Closing date is 31 July 2024.

Once again, I wish you and yours all the best for the festive season, and I look forward to seeing you in 2024.
