ALAR Association Board
Members of the Action Learning, Action Research Association Ltd (ALAR Association, also known as ALARA) Board are elected by the membership at the Annual General Meeting, as are members of the Committees Group (see below). Here are the current Board members.

Colin joined ALARA in 1993, from when he sat in the back seats until assisting the Management Committee on its Strategic Plan in 2009, before being elected as President. He runs his own Organisational Change, Organisational Development and Human Resources Management consultancy, Change Actions. Colin's vision for ALARA is that it is the primary source of information, support and networking in the Action Learning / Action Research community. |

Dr John Molineux (since 2022, and previously Treasurer since 2008) Melbourne, Australia Member page |

John is currently an academic at Deakin University teaching Human Resource Management to MBA students and conducting research relevant to HR practitioners. He completed an action research PhD thesis in 2005 and used action research processes in his previous career in HRM. Since 2008, John served ALARA as Treasurer, moving to the Vice-President Australasia position in 2022. |

Dr. Tetteh joined ALARA in 2013 and was elected as International Vice President at the national conference in Brisbane. He holds a Ph.D. degree in Public Policy and Administration from Walden University. He is a professor of the Doctor of Public Administration and Nonprofit Leadership program in the School of Public Service Leadership at Capella University. He is also an adjunct professor at Metropolitan College of New York and The College of New Rochelle. He is also the founder/president of The Center for Communal Photosynthesis Research, Inc. His vision is to use marketing efforts to advance ALARA’s vested interests and membership within the USA and around the world. |

Andrew has 30 years' experience in the insurance industry working for both insurers and brokers, and is currently principal of an insurance broker. He has conducted an AR/AL project within his own organisation leading to the award of a Masters of Management from the Australian Institute of Business (AIB). I am currently the chair of ethics for the AIB and consult as a facilitator to the Global Centre of Work Applied Learning in their Work Applied Learning program, which focuses upon action learning and reflective practice. |

Dr Sumesh Nair (since 2022) |
|
Dr Sumesh Nair has been working in the Australian higher education sector for the last 15 years. Sumesh currently works with the Australian Institute of Business as a Discipline Leader in Marketing and Entrepreneurship areas and senior lecturer. He previously worked with Monash and Murdoch Universities for 11 years. Sumesh holds a PhD in management studies. He has been researching and publishing on green marketing, sustainability, pro-environmental behaviours and marketing ethics. Sumesh’s research appeared in the Journal of Macromarketing, Journal of International Consumer Marketing, Business Strategy and the Environment and Ergonomics, to name a few. Sumesh’s passion for environmental and ethical issues drives his research and teaching. |

Dr Yedida Bessemer (since 2021) Modesto, United States of America Member page |

Dr. Yedida Bessemer is an adjunct faculty at the University of Charleston, West Virginia, at the Graduate Strategic Leadership Program. She conducted an action research study for her doctoral project focused on developing and improving data literacy among online faculty through professional learning communities. Her teaching and leading diverse groups in different states and abroad for two and a half decades have given her unique professional and educational experiences and opportunities as an educator and a learner. Dr. Bessemer sees herself as a change agent dedicated to promoting a holistic, relational approach to education through fostering positive relationships, developing trust, effective communication, and collaboration. |
