A Conversation with John Hanley - Action Learning Action Research Potpourri of Processes

Where
2/27 Jordan Terrace, Bowen Hills, Qld, Australia
Event description

Potpourri comprises a mixture of dried petals or roses or other flowers with spices etc. kept in a jar or other container for the fragrance. Participants attending this conversation are invited to share examples of processes they use for effective action learning/action research (leading to fragrant outcomes)! What processes work well for: relationship building - forming action learning sets; planning for improvement; working with non-participatory participants; data collection; reflection; overcoming barriers etc. We will garner the 'wisdom in the room' of those attending the conversation.

John Hanley has a background in law having practised as a solicitor in both Australia and England. He then pursued adult education studies, where he was first introduced to action learning. His vocational placements included responsibility for learning and development coordination in a social justice public sector organisation. His current interests include social architecture, and for leisure you will often find him behind a digital SLR camera.
